18th richest club in football.
And that's before the move to the athletics stadium!

We are loaded so let's stop shopping at Aldi and upgrade to Waitrose.

Re: 18th richest club in football.
How long has Joe Lewis been giving cash to that cunt Daniel Levy to spend at the Spuds? It's been a while and they are only just challenging for the top place. Then you have Mansour at MCity. Again he's been putting a bundle down each year and they are still Euro outsiders!
There's no getting away from it, it will take years for West Ham to build a decent team but the owners need to stop trying to do it on their own. They need a talented director of football to bring in the players. I think Sullivan's home made approach scares a lot of players off.

In that case maybe we could move on from packing our squad with loans and free transfers.
Our leaders still haven't got it you spend peanuts you get monkeys.

but Sullivan said one stipulation of the move was to be free of debt as the Boleyn freehold has been sold, more bullshite as the £100m debt just transferred from the banks to Sullivan + interest.

Still £166m is a tidy sum even after players wages and that will increase going forward. Approx £27m match day revenue and £30m Commercial Revenue have been quoted in addition to the TV money.

Can only assume they are paying down the loan + interest? The accounts should be interesting.

Re: 18th richest club in football.
grasshopper, I agree that those positions need strengthening but it's a question of how much we are prepared to pay in order to guarantee we get value for money.

Re: 18th richest club in football.
Very simple comma, i would like the owners to buy a quality rb and fucking striker for starters, and then stop all the media nonsense about value for money etc. maybe invest some of their own money in the club so we can purchase players to match the ambition they have expressed in the media - the summer window was totally non reflective of this ambition

Re: 18th richest club in football.
£166m income and rising, no debt.

....but Sullivan said we will only be about £10m better off moving.

Where has all the money gone, and why are we still buying freebies, loans, 30+ year olds and looking at Championship players?

But if we buy players from Aldi, we could snap up the likes of Christopher Romaldo, Lionel Nessie, Gareth Gale, Eden Lizard and Meynar.
